Contains Sunny Scenes, Inc. stationery reflecting the time period of the 1930’s through the 1960’s. It also contains graduation programs for Winter Park High School (1932-1934), a newspaper clipping about the early residents of Winter Park, and more.   

Our "seed" collection. Started in 1976 with donations from Ms. Bacon, a local historian and businesswoman. The collection includes material on the publication Orlando: A Centennial History (manuscript, proofs, etc.); oral history tapes; photographs; two notebooks on Winter Park personalities; a handwritten notebook of news notes; two notebooks on the history of Winter Park, organized by subject; three notebooks on Florida history; a notebook on early Orange County settlers; the minutes of the Winter Park Bird Club (1933-1938); and material on Bacon’s life as well.   

Philip B. Crosby (1926-2001) was a local businessman, author, teacher, and generous contributor to our local community. Known as the "Father of the Quality Revolution", his philosophies and concepts helped change the way business is conducted worldwide. The collection contains writings, business records, and recordings of various speeches and instruction materials. On this site his various articles, essays, and other writings will be available for all to read.   The first article presented will be his essay The Changing of Quality in America.   The Library is also scanning essays that were written by Mr. Crosby for his 14 Step Quality Improvement Process. This is an on going project and the essays will be added as they are scanned.

This collection spans twenty notebooks and the years 1975-1989. Phil Eschbach worked as a photographer for Central Florida Magazine.

Founded in 1896. Their collection contains the club’s minutes and a calendar, with the most recent information dating back to 1942.

Came to Winter Park in 1962 to take the position of Tax Assessor and Collector, eventually expanding his resume to include other titles such as Director of Community Affairs and Assistant City Manager. His collection contains file folders on civil defense, the Winter Park Accident Board, community affairs, abandoned vehicles, in addition to a personnel file and emergency phone numbers for the city during his tenure. There are also notebooks on the Disabled and Abandoned Vehicle Project, Safety Cab Repair Service, and an assessment manual for sidewalks, paving, and other improvements.

Contains correspondences, two binders of mock-up drawings for an unpublished book, an original watercolor, two coloring books, and twenty-four photographs of the works displayed at the Winter Park Public Library that were lent by various Winter Park persona.

Local children’s author in the earlier half of the twentieth century, as well as a professor of history at Rollins. She published The Sunbonnet Babies’ Primer in 1902, and Benjamin Franklin: The Man Who Was Poor Richard in 1951. Her collection contains material on children’s literature and folklore (books, pamphlets, essays); personal letters, photos, and sketches; original manuscripts; a typed autobiography; copies of speeches; and newspaper articles about her. Eulalie’s brother, Edwin Osgood Grover (1870-mid-1960’s), came to Rollins College in 1926. Once the “Professor of Books” (a title which a 1935 Winter Park Herald article claims was the only one of its kind in the nation), Grover went on to become the school’s vice-president. Grover had extensive experience as an editor and publisher and was the founder of Mead Gardens.

Contains scanned images of various family members, biographical sketch of Bessie Galloway, and memorabilia from the 1950’s.

Contains club scrapbooks, notebooks, various club files, photographs, and a Collection of “tee shirts” from 4^th of July Watermelon 5 K Run/Walk..

Reflects the writing career of Bucklin Moon and his connection with Winter Park and Rollins College.  The most interesting parts of the collection are Moon’s Handwritten manuscripts on various topics ranging from politics to book editing, and his typewritten, unpublished memoir with handwritten revisions.  The Collection contains materials donated by Marion  Moon.  This collection is the resultant product of Dr. Maurice O’Sullivan’s study of Bucklin Moon during 2001 – 2002.  Maurice O’Sullivan is the Kenneth Curry Professor of Literature at Rollins College and was the 2002 recipient of the Rhea Marsh and Dorothy Lockhart Smith Winter Park History Research Grant.

Contains Winter Park news clippings; miscellaneous periodicals and brochures on Florida; a guest book from Weatogue, home of F.E. Spooner (1907-1925), and a ledger for a house on Lake Osceola; thirty-five Florida postcards; a chronological history of Winter Park; information pertaining to the Winter Park Garden Club; and numerous letters (1905-1950).

Growing collection of Oral Histories, which are transcripts of taped interviews of some of our noted citizens.  These interviews are conducted by volunteers.

Material relating to Hiram Powers; his wife, Rose Mills Powers; and their daughter, Rose Van Cleve Spurr Rochelle. The papers, which date from 1885 to the 1940’s, also contain information on the Poetry Society of Winter Park.

Club scrapbooks, 1951-2001 (when the club disbanded), minutes, Presidents' Reports, treasurers reports, video, and other club memorabilia.

Contains sketches, photographs, newspaper clippings, U.S. Coast Guard art work, information on theatre art, and details on Winter Park’s “wooden” Christmas Card tradition. Donated by local artist and sign painter Andy Wootten.
