DAR Scrapbooks
The Winter Park History and Archives Collection acts as a depository for the DAR Scrapbooks documenting the activities of the William P. Duval Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. The scrapbooks date from the 1970's to the mid-1990's and is not a complete collection.
Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival Best of Show Collection
The Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival Best of Show Collection was inaugurated in 1969 with a $750 purchase award and, by 1996, the value of the Best of Show award had grown to $10,000. Each year the Festival committee has presented the award-winning artwork to the City of Winter Park. In 1977, the City designated the Winter Park Public Library as the official repository for the Best of Show Collection.

Since then, The Winter Park Public Library has been proud to display each year's winning piece in the most professional way possible. Each piece of art has been placed in a unique frame or acrylic case and located throughout the library so that the viewer's experience is similar to visiting an art museum.
While viewing the artwork online will give you an excellent idea of how the pieces look, there are a few drawbacks to doing so. Some of the artwork is three-dimensional, and most of the photos in this online gallery contain glare from the glass frames. Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival Scrapbooks
The Winter Park History and Archives Collection also acts as a repository for scrapbooks compiled by the Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival. These scrapbooks document this event which began in 1961 and occurs annually in March. They are available for public use but it is necessary to make prior arrangements with the Winter Park History and Archives Collection archivist.
