Harold and Grace Sanford

A marriage between talented and admired musicians.

Luis Harold Sanford and his wife Grace came to Winter Park in 1951. Both were graduates of Juilliard School of Music and both had Masters' degrees in Sacred Music from Union Theological Seminary, New York City.

After moving to Winter Park, Harold served as Organist for the First Congregational Church, Winter Park. After a few years he took the position of Organist - Choirmaster at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Winter Park.

Grace was an accomplished voice coach, accompanist and church musician. She was a life member of the Wednesday Music Club of Orlando and Winter Park and served as President from 1976 - 1978.

Grace and Harold toured the state of Florida as a two piano concert team during the 1950's. They had many friends and admirers in Winter Park, including the renowned sculptor, Albin Polasek .

Harold died November 2, 1991, at the age of 87. Grace died February 14, 2003, at the age of 98. For more extensive information on the Sanfords please visit HaroldandGrace.com .
